ENGL 16015. MOVEMENT NARRATIVES AND ACTIVISM This course will draw on activist movements ranging from #BlackLivesMatter to #NODAPL, and including #MMIW as well as the Disability Justice Movement. We will read nonfiction essays and digital media to study the craft of writing and reflect on how movements impact our lives and shape our core values. This course offers a close study of nonfiction writing strategies and practices and aims to generate a supportive space to write about the movements that jolt, transform, invigorate, and drive us to imagine a more just world.
