PHIL 21600. ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS This course is an examination of the ethical obligations that humans have toward the environment. What is the nature and source of our obligations to animals, plants, and the environment as a whole? Can non-human entities have rights? We will evaluate various approaches to these questions including anthropocentrism, ecocentrism, ecofeminism and agrarianism. [AH, SJ]
