RELS 12100. MEET THE BIBLE What is "the Bible?" Who wrote it, and who compiled it, and why? How much of it is true? What are its central concepts and themes? Why do Jews and Christians read it so differently? How does the academic study of the Bible compare to religious study? In what ways does the Bible shape contemporary culture? Why does it still matter, even for people who dont consider themselves "religious?"
