PSYC 39935. EMERGING ADULTHOOD Emerging adulthood is a developmental period that bridges adolescence and adulthood, spanning 18 to 29 years old. During this time, emerging adults often prepare for adulthood careers, explore their identities, and navigate shifts and challenges across other domains of life. Students in this course will engage with basic and advanced concepts in emerging adulthood research. Specific topics include college student development, romantic relationships, identities, media use, and employment. This course emphasizes empirical psychological literature, and it may be supplemented by interviews, guest speakers, and other forms of media. Prerequisites: PSYC 10000 and PSYC 25000.
