HIST 10166. THE HOLOCAUST This course examines the Nazi program of genocide and mass killing in the context of Nazi ideology and in the larger context of modern European history and the evolution of modern antisemitism. It also introduces students to some of the significant historiographical issues in the study of the Holocaust, including questions such as the meaning and significance of the term "Holocaust" and the disturbing phenomenon of Holocaust denial. A section of HIST 201xx is required for majors, but is open to students from all departments and programs. This course does not fulfill the writing intensive requirement.[D, HSS]
