ECON 29909. ECONOMICS OF EDUCATION Applies theories and analytical methods from economics to the study of complex educational issues, including the value of education to individuals and society; the link between education and economic growth; school choice and its implications for public schools; teacher supply, demand, and quality; and the benefits and costs associated with investments in various educational programs, such as early childhood education. Aims to introduce students to important economic concepts and to develop students ability to critically analyze the arguments and evidence surrounding educational policy options through an economics lens.
